LATEST WELLBEING WARRIORS GRADUATE AT LEAMINGTON ACADEMY

We have had the honour of working with the entire KS2 at Leamington Academy.
This involved over 250 children participating and graduating as Wellbeing Warriors.
The response from the children to positive mental health was amazing and we are incredibly grateful to have worked with such a forward thinking school.
ACTIVE MINDS SUPPORTS TEAM ENGLAND MMA SQUAD SESSIONS

Our founder, Graeme Wheatley recently took part in a coaching session for the English Mixed Martial Arts Youth Team.
The students are preparing for upcoming championships at national and world level. The ability, enthusiasm and commitment from the children was incredible to see
EMMAA have a great team of hard working volunteers and coaches that are driving #MMA forward in a safe, supportive and positive manner.
ACTIVE MINDS ACHIEVES HUGE MILESTONE

Nottingham based mental health social enterprise, Active Minds has delivered a huge achievement in record time. Since April 2021, Active Minds has had over 1,000 children participate in mental and physical health programmes.
Graeme Wheatley, Founder of Active Minds commented “We are incredibly proud to hit this key milestone. When we set up Active Minds, we had an aspiration to help 1,000 children, to achieve that in 12 months feels incredible. We are a proud to be a small social enterprise that is making a sustained and positive difference in our local community.
ACTIVE MINDS SUPPORTS 252 CHILDREN VIA COMIC RELIEF

We got asked by West Park Academy if we could train the whole school as part of their Comic Relief event. 🔴
Challenge accepted ✔️
We planned and ran sessions from Foundation 1 all the way up to Y6. 🥊🏃🏻♀️
The children were incredible with so much engagement and effort. Completely blown away by the event. 🙌🏻💙
Great example of how we can adapt and support the local community to deliver such great programmes.

STRONG START TO 2022

We are off to a flyer in 2022, running 10 programmes in 3 different schools across Nottinghamshire.
Nearly 300 children will benefit from these activities and increase their education on mental and physical health.

It’s our Birthday! Active Minds is 1 today 🥳🎉🎂
This time last year I booked 2 days off work to create a social enterprise, register the company build a website and social media platform and created numerous policies and regulatory documents to support our activities. 🧑🏻💻
Over the last year we have done some amazing work and have been supported by some amazing people. 🙌🏻
💙We’ve had close to 500 participants take part in our mental & physical health programmes.
💙 We’ve ran Wellbeing Warriors in several schools with incredible results.
💙 We’ve worked with people on a 1:1 basis in a safe and secure environment.
💙 We’ve worked with Notts police helping children who are at risk of falling into long term criminal activity
💙 We’ve ran Men’s mental Health Programmes
💙 We’ve delivered numerous after schools clubs.
💙 We’ve ran programmes online and outdoors during lockdowns.
💙 We brought world champion Leigh Wood to the area and he spoke incredibly to over 200 children.
💙 Delivered BOXHIIT wellbeing sessions to corporate organisations.
💙 We’ve had support from UK MMA legends Jimmy Wallhead and Dan Hardy boosting our Schools programme
💙 We’ve supported local boxing clubs and individuals with sponsorship to support their goals
💙 We’ve worked and partner with great people at Ashfield District Council, Sport England and Ashfield Voluntary Action.
💙 We’ve campaigned to Local MP’s and Councils to support mental health in greater capacity
We’ve also learnt a huge amount and continue to evolve. We remain committed to helping as many people as we can.

LATEST WELLBEING WARRIOR GRADUATES

We are proud to celebrate the latest cohort of Wellbeing Warrior graduates from West Park Academy in Kirkby in Ashfield. We've had an amazing 6 weeks with the children and now they will go and spread the word about the importance of mental & physical health.
LOCAL CHILDREN GRADUATE AS WELLBEING WARRIORS

58 Year 4 children from Leamington Academy have recently successfully graduated as Active Minds Wellbeing Warriors.
The children have spent 6 weeks working through the programme and learning more about the importance of mental health.
They will now continue to spread the word about how important positive mental and physical healht is to us all.
